Good day, today I give you the recipe to prepare yogurt at home with no yogurt and no bacteria or anything strange or particular. I love yogurt and some time I was looking for an easy way to make it happen at home, so as to have a fresh and genuine product made directly with my hands, so when I stumbled upon this simple recipe, I immediately proceeded to realize it. To prepare homemade yogurt will do 3 heaping tablespoons of greek yogurt at room temperature and a liter of fresh milk, following the recipe to the letter, after 12 hours you will get a thick and creamy yogurt with honey or fruit you can enrich and customize it according to your tastes. Leaving aside 3 tablespoons of your homemade yogurt, you can create every time the new order to be able to always have a stash in the fridge. - Ingredients for 1 kg of yoghurt:
- 1 liter of whole milk
- 3 tablespoons greek yogurt
How do the homemade yogurt
Heat the milk over low heat in a large pot.
When the milk comes to a boil, turn off the heat.
Let cool completely and with a fine mesh strainer to strain it to remove milk arisen cream on the surface.
Put in a bowl the yogurt at room temperature and 5 tablespoons milk, stir with a wooden spoon until completely dissolve the yogurt.
Cover now with remaining milk and, without stirring, close the container tightly. Then put the mixture in the oven off (one minute at 30 °) previously heated only with the light on and let rest for about 12 hours.
After the indicated time, though on the surface it will create a liquid whey, delete it.
Pour the yogurt in glass jars.
Close with a lid and place in refrigerator to cool, where the yogurt will become further dense.
The homemade yogurt is kept in the refrigerator for about a week and can be enriched with sugar, honey, fruit or chocolate for various tastes.
